I want to receive my Twitter messages as soon as they are avaliable.

There is an app called boxcar which works with twitterific and tweetie. However, I think it only alerts you when you receive a @ reply or mention, not tweets from the people you follow.

I think there will be more Push Notification enabled apps out on the app store soon.
