Facebook
Much more organized than MySpace
Twitter's pretty much a mini version of Facebook
Idk what Xanga is...

out of all of the social networking sites that i've tried: facebook, myspace, vox, xanga, onsugar, ning, etc. my absolute favorite is multiply.com.

multiply, in my opinion, has good blogging options, great photo options, good video options, good groups, great personal websites, a great way of keeping track of what everyone in your network is saying and replying to, and it even has good photo printing.

myspace and facebook don't really allow for solid conversations (ones that go back and forth a lot, include a lot of participants and that might span a week or two of time). that's one of the things i love most about multiply is that it enables good conversations among people. and the inbox always lets you know the moment someone has replied on one of your posts, if a friend has posted, or if a conversation has broken out somewhere in your network. so it's easy to jump right to where the conversations are and ignore that stuff that you've already seen and that nobody's writing comments on.

there are unlimited photo uploads (and multiply keeps the high res. versions on file for photo printing and even the non-full-res versions are much larger than what facebook shrinks your pics down to).

i like twitter also. but only when i use the program nambu to see my tweet stream.

multiply is even better than twitter, though. :-)
