How can i send messages to the persons i'm following in twitter?

I can only send messages to my followers? please help me..

you can click on their profile and then there are two square boxes on the right side of where one posts their statuses. well on the second box, click it and it should say send message. hope it worked!

i think you may use the "@" function!!
you may want to try the "mention" function!!
obviously, you can't send dm to the user that don't following you
