When you get an email, there should be some information on the bottom on how to control your email from Twitter.

The surefire solution is to delete your Twitter account.
That's what I did when I got fed up of TV celebrity Chenese Lewis's endless tweets

If it is an email getting sent to your phone with an update, tell your email its spam by clicking the SPAM button next to the email and any of them will be sent to your Spam inbox instead...Or, if its a phone application, like for me, it would be twitterberry, just disable it or uninstall it off your phone. Just depends on where your getting them from.
