why wont it let me tweet on twitter?

Before I used to type a message and press enter and a little broken circle would go round and round and my message would be placed, but now When I type a message and press enter nothing happens.
I was given the choice pets, or general

this happens to me and other people who use it as well. it will let me post tweets on pictures but not on home page. its a glitch twitter has. im sure there are contact details you can google for twitter and email them about the problem. if enough people email im sure they'll try and fix the problem. sorry i couldn't of helped more. its driving me mad too.
