Best way to deal with haters?

A couple months ago, I started a fan site for one of my favorite actors (just as a hobby). I worked really hard on it to make it as best and up to date as possible. Yesterday, I got several hate messages in my inbox and on twitter from the admin of another fan site for the same actor, basically just bashing my site and saying that hers is the best since she's had it for a longer time. I was just stunned because I've always been a fan of her site, and I've been going there for news about the actor months before I even started my own site. I am feeling really disheartened about this >.<

Has anyone had a similar situation as me? If so, what did you do to get over it? I can't stop thinking about what she said and it's left me quite demotivated.

Tell her SUCK MY DI.K... but if you are a female then tell her DON'T HATE APPRECIATE BIT.H... or u could go civel and just tell her "I was just stunned because I've always been a fan of her site" and she would have a change of hearth
