can someone help me? its about twitter?
hi all,
a month ago i created a new account in twitter. i still don't know how to use it properly. what does "mention" mean and when should i use it? i am following a celeb and he isn't following me, but my friend once mentioned something about you can mention him and he will see your message. how can i do that? isn't it the same as replying, wont he see the message? and whats a hash tag and when is it supposed to be used? Ads |

Mention means reply. So if you want to reply to him, you will have to put @ and put his username behind it, in order for him to see. So if someone replies to you, it will end up in your mentions.
Hashtag is just something we use to get it on the trending topic (you will see on the right of your screen on Twitter) Hope this helps Ads |

Hash tag is what is used to mention someone.
Mention means to create a link in your text to the person's account or creating a reference at whose statement you are replying. Twitter does not provide a way to reply to posts like Facebook. You can just follow posts, tweet new posts or retweet other posts. |
