Can someone help me with twitter?

I decided to join twitter yesterday normally i just use facebook but twitter is all ive heard about later "tweets" but i don't get it at all im so uset to facebook + people always tell me there following the celebrity's confused! How do you know if its the real celebs page seens as there are so many fakes out there and how do you know if someone has left you a comment :| Im so clueless Loll!

A "Tweet" is basically a status update. Which is what twitter is all about. Instead of having all the complication of the applications and chat with Facebook etc. it's all about the status updates.

To follow the celebrities you just go on find people and type in their name. You can generally tell when it's an official or a fake by who their friends are and who they're following and what not.

Commenting to other people you have to do it on your tweet. Like the new thing on Facebook is putting the @Name to tag your friends in your status', with Twitter this is how you talk to your friends on it. Or you can send them a inbox message just like Facebook too. To recieve messages off friends on the right hand side it says @YourUsername, if you click on this is shows you messages people have sent you.

Twitter is basically a dumbed down, less complicated and less tacky version of Facebook. Hope I've helped.
