Why is YouTube getting so annoying?
They want your real name. They're all mixed up w/ gmail etc --- Is SO ANNOYING. It seems like EVERY site wants to be a social networking site like FB or Twitter. Why can't they just leave us alone and let us watch some videos!!! It's getting ridiculous.
Someone mentioned the copyright thing...that may be it.... but honestly, the music industry has been notoriously greedy for so many years -- if they're losing money now because everything's gone digital, it's almost like, "oh well -- what goes around comes around." Maybe they should have treated the artists better over the years. Just sayin' :-) but I think it's better to just let people listen to the music for free on YouTube, rather than making YouTube so annoying it stops people from using it. At least the music gets heard -- maybe you will hear something and decide to go to a concert.... maybe you will decide to buy a CD as a gift -- there's still money to be made -- the music industry needs to be more creative. Times change.

I feel the exact same way... it's gotten too far now.

What's with this google + integration now too? It's now so hard to access my YouTube inbox because I didn't know where it was! I found it now after a long search.

I hate it and I agree with what you've said.

Maybe because they are under increasing and constant pressure to turn over copyright violators to copyright owners' lawyers if not the FBI, and having your real name makes it easier to find you than having to backtrack from your computer's IP address to your ISP, requiring two, not just one, subpoena to get your information on where the federal marshal needs to go find you.
