I used to cut. Nothing serious i mean i have a lot of cuts but they were all shallow. Well i got really out of it and i pushed really hard with a newer blade and it is really deep. I dont know what to do. I cant stop and i cant tell anyone. Everyone in my family makes fun of "emos" and my "friends" will think i just want attention. How do i prevent scarring? How do i deal with this without telling anyone?

I cut sometimes too. If someone sees it, I just say that I hit my arm on something sharp or something like that. You can try foundation too. If you need someone to talk to, you can talk to me. If you're on twitter, you can follow me @samlovesstl or email me at psychfan19@rocketmail.com

I'm sorry that you feel the need to do this to yourself. I've been in the same situation, and I am able to say that for the most part, I overcame the urge to do that to my body. I still do from time to time, but it's nowhere near as bad.

I would see a counsellor/psychologist/therapist and just talk about your feelings to him or her. This will not help your past, but it will help your future and maybe prevent you from hurting yourself even further!

As for preventing scarring, it will most likely be visible for a while. Keep your wound clean and covered. Do NOT pick at the scab. That will make the scarring even worse!!! When your wound is healing over, put scar cream or scar gel on it several times a day. My brother nearly severed his finger, and after his stitches came out and when the wound was healed, he applied the cream/gel to his scar every day, and now it's barely visible! Less than a year later.

I wish you luck on everything, and I hope you feel better soon.
