i am building a social network and i need a little help. i someone could give me tips on creating the member are and where the members go to after they log in that would be great?

After login they should go to their individual "control panel" page or to their message inbox.

You have to be careful, because we all already have myspace, facebook, & twitter... so you'll have to have some twist that makes your network unique.
