Facebook: What does # followed by message mean?
I see a lot of people using the " # " sign followed by a word or sentence. Just wondering.
This is my burning question. Thanks all! I don't use Twitter so I had no idea. Ads |

It's a Twitter thing really. It's usually a tag that people add onto a status update. Its just a category or topic that the update relates to.

its a hash tag used for twitter. Twitter uses them as "trends" so if i type something like "I love #playstation" people can click on playstation and start a discussion about it. If your twitter is linked to your facebook account all you have to do is click it to see the discussion, if you don't, don't bother with it.
