Web Design Final Project Idea?

I'm taking a college course called advanced web design. We have been learning Javascript, jquery, how to use APIs, how to create responsive websites etc. For my final project I was given the option to come up with my own project but I having difficulties coming up with an idea. The only requirement for the final project is that you must create something that uses the APIs of a website, and jquery. We learned how to use the API of flickr ( which allowed to type something and it will display a gallery of picture with that tag) and twitter ( to display all the tweets with an specific hash). Anyone knows any other website which I can use the API to create something cool?

Are you able to use a serverside database? Then you could make a twitter copy (but in a much simpeler form, like only friends and tweeting, nothing else).

By all means you should use Facebook's API in your final project. It must be the most used API on the net, at the moment. There are many options you can use from logins to comments.

A nice project that is simple to create would be a site where someone can login using their Facebook account, upload an image, and let other FB users comment on it.
