Strategies for stopping spam email?
Hi everyone,

I have made a silly mistake and used my email address for my twitter account and let it be visible to the public. Silly I know but I've done it (corrected now).

The problem is, I am receiving a lot of spam and I don't know how to prevent it. I have created a blacklist into which I add the email addresses from all the spam mail. Any mail from those addresses is automatically permenantly deleted, but that list is getting longer and I am having to manual add each email address.

Spam filters don't seem to be working as I a still revieving the spam in my inbox.

What can I do to stop it

Jay

The first step of preventing spam mail is that you should not open it in anyway and mark every email as spam so that it will go into the spam folder. Filtering and making id as blacklisted won't help you. Once the spam mail going into the spam folder you can delete it at once.

There is no other way as you are using this email id in different websites openly. You can minimise it.
