are these good reasons to stop being friends with someone?
This girl is obsessed with pictures of herself. She thinks she's a celebrity. She is obsessed with getting followers on twitter and on instagram. She's a total narcissist. I can accept that about her, but it starts to hurt my feelings a bit sometimes when she and I are hanging out and she has her nose in her cell phone the entire time... sometimes we'll even be playing a board game and during everyone else's turn she's not even paying attention to the game; just on her cell phone looking at facebook, instagram, twitter, etc... I can handle that with just a little minor annoyance, but what really bothers me is that she doesn't really like to include me in most of the photos. It makes me feel bad. I brought her home with me to spend the holidays with my family, since she doesn't have one, nor is she in a relationship, nor does she have many other friends... so in order to avoid her being alone, I brought her home with me. She took literally 20 pictures of my family's house, property, photos of her under our tree, etc etc...and posted them.. and even though I was right there, I was only in like 2 photos she posted...out of 20. She'll take pictures of my cat, but not me... maybe I'm a bit of a narcissist myself but it just hurts my feelings that she doesn't include me.

Tonight was the final straw. We spent new years eve together. I bought her and I both a Happy new year tiara... my phone died...so I asked her if she could conserve some of her battery to take one last photo of the two of us on the train.... as we sat on the train, she played on her cell the entire time...even saying "my battery's about to die" to herself...then kept playing [ignoring me]....and the phone, sure enough, died. SO I dropped her off at her house [she doesn't have a car,] and she made a point of taking the tiara with her....and an hour later she posted a compilation of pictures of HERSELF [alone in her room] posing with the tiara...with hash tags like "princess" "royalty" ... O.o wtf??? Okay I get it, she's a total narcissist...and I can accept that about her and be friends with her anyway...but the way she constantly uses me for stuff to post self-indulgent photos and exclude me is just more than I can handle...

Would things like this bother you enough to stop being friends with her?

I will not hang out with her in future. The first thing you need in a relationship is care, which is absent in your case so find another, earth is overpopulated.
PS: Leaving someone because of their flaws is another story here you would be leaving her for lack of interest/care etc.

Let her know what it is like to really be alone
just ignore her for a while then she will realize that a real friend is better than an online one

I don't think you need a feasible reason to abandon a friendship with someone, if what they do and believe in harm you, or...bother you, I guess. However, if you were truly friends with this girl you would try to put up with it or, if you think it's necessary, help her Smile

Well, if they just didn't include me I wouldn't care really. But ignoring life for stupid social networking sites? She sounds pretty childish. Maybe she's afraid you're prettier or something?
I probably wouldn't want to hang out with someone like that. Then being so attached to their phone would bug me!
