How to tweet something another persons profile on twitter?

I want to ask someone a question on twitter. I follow them, but they don't follow me. How do I?
Will they notice it? I've tried @Example and they haven't responded!

Click in the box as if you were going to tweet something. Let's say you wanted to tweet to Usher.. you'd tweet @UsherRaymondIV and then your message.

You can't send them a privat msg if they dont follow you as well but you can retweet them by typeing their username at the begining of you're tweet with a @ before their name hope it helps
