Why do i see tweets of people i dont follow on twitter?

I follow some celebrities with verified accounts, but i keep seeing tweets from people with fakeaccounts similar to these celebs. even when i am not following them neither are they following me nor mentioning me. why is it so? what should I do? plase help

Oh.. The same doubt which i had 2 months ago. Its just because, The person whom u may have followed would have retweeted the tweet. That is the reason why u get tweets from strangers...!

People you are following may have retweeted a tweet by someone you don't follow, or sometimes tweets are even promoted by a particular company, and therefore you can see it on your homepage.
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it, because at some point of time everyone rwtweets a tweet by someone you do not follow.

You'll see every tweet that the person you're following retweets on your timeline... If that's not it, then you need to check your settings and update options...

No idea but remember that twitter follows can com by them self. Last time I logged in I had 15 following now when I logged in I had 1471 following. So that might be your problem.

What is a retweet?

A retweet is someone else's Tweet that you chose to share with all of your followers. You can use our built-in retweet feature or you can manually retweet content by copying and pasting it into a new Tweet of your own. Both are outlined below.

How to retweet without adding your own commentary:

1. Hover over a Tweet.
2. Click the Retweet link, highlighted below.

The celebrities that you are following probably retweeted the tweet from someone that you do not know. Please see the link in the sources tab for additional info!
