do the facebook/twitter app require internet access ?

i'm finally gonna get a phone soon & im wondering if facebook/twitter require internet access . i only plan on using it to update statuses and stuff .

how else do you access facebook/twitter?
these are websites, the apps just make them easier to use and access.

yeah. their 'internet' cites!
but if you dont have internet on your phone you can go to your settings on twitter/facebook to connect your phone number to it so you can make a status through a text message etc. pretty cool.
