Where are the voices of the NRA?
In the light of events in Newtown, Connecticut, USA, why has there been such a deafening silence from the National Rifle Association? Protesters outside their headquarters, requests for comment and interviews refused. Even their 1.7 million Facebook Group page has disappeared. Their Twitter account haven't sent a message since the slaughter of the schoolchildren on Friday. So where is the much vaunted NRA?

They probably just don't feel like dealing with all the hate speech that is being aimed at them due to the recent events.

They know it is a PR battle they won't win.

Could it be they're choosing not to exploit this tragedy like some politicians are? The NRA teaches gun safety programs, and all kinds of safety things relating to guns. This attack was in a gun-free zone.

They will be quietly reminding senators and congressmen how much help and money they got from the NRA when they last stood for office, their keyboard warriors will be busy too ramming home how wonderful they are, they will also, as usually be organising a rally near the school to show their mighty weapons to the world.

Remember the NRA came into being as the KKK was winding down, those good ole boys know how to suck seed...
