Is Justin Bieber a bad role model?
My daughter likes him but I saw on the news that he was caught smoking marijuana. I also saw on twitter that some fans are cutting themselves to get him to stop. I don't want my daughter to follow bad influences.

This is just my opinion but I think he's a crappy role model, hes showing kids that's its ok to go out and get tattoos and smoke pot and basically do whatever you want as soon as you turn 18.

Yes and no. Depending if you stop that or not you should confront your daughter and show her the picture and be like "I know you like him and u look up to him an stuff but if I ever see/catch/ find out you even tried this you'll be grounded till ur old enough to move out. You'll be lucky to see sunshine again" other words that could go two ways. Depends if you stop it before hand

Maybe today he isn't a good role model. I wouldn't let your daughter focus on him. It is okay for her to listen to his music, but try to attract her to something else. Such as a different music artists or get her some dolls and play with her. If you think she is to old for that, plan family activities to make sure she go the bad way with Justin Bieber.

Most celebs are poor role models for kids. It seems either they are too perfect or screw ups. I don't think it's a good idea to try to model your life off of anyone else. Sure if you are a singer maybe you can pick up stuff from Justin. Or if you like his fashion sure put your own spin on his clothes. It's like my nephew. He's 8 and loves Derrick Rose. He plays basketball as well and tries to emulate his moves on the court. That's fine, but it's not a good idea to try to model your life after him. Don't smoke just because he does, don't try to talk like him or act like him. Be yourself. That's how I was raised. Too many kids are obsessed with celebrities. I was recently alone with a 12 year old girl. I'm usually great talking to kids. I brought up several topics like sports, school, even boys. All I got was one word answers. As soon as I said "so who is your favorite music artist?" She went on a non stop word binge about Nicki Manja (if I spelled that right.) I couldn't get her to stop after that lol. It was like an obsession. She knew everything.

Smoking weed isn't bad. Your daughter should be smart enough to make her own choices. He has tattoos all meaningful to him. He donates his time & half of his $ to charity. He's a good role model I'm 17 and like JB and so does my 12 year old sister. TMZ and Pap said that those pics were FAKE.

He actually isn't a bad role model compared to most celebrities. He got caught smoking pot ONCE - and he's 18! A legal adult and able to make his own choices. The girls participating in the #cut4bieber trend are immature and don't have enough supervision.
