Recommendations for a gaming tv?
I'm looking into getting an 1080p lcd tv for gaming preferably a smaller one ranging from 19 inches - 24 inches with a price range of $100 - $250 maybe a bit higher..
I just want to know some suggestions of brands and models I could look into to make a selection.
Providing the brand and model is fine but a small description of the specs and your personal preferences would be great.
Please and Thank you for your time.
Also I'm aware that getting a gaming pc monitor would work too but I'm just looking into tvs for now. Thanks Smile

best gaming tvs: all the tvs are good for gaming
Sony Bravia KDL-22EX420

This 22 Inches LED TV comes with a 1366 x 768 pixels HD resolution. One feature that sets it apart from most of the TVs in this range is that it lets you use the power of internet on the TV by giving letting you browse, the net, watch internet videos and use Facebook and Twitter right on your TV! It is 42 mm thick and comes with 2 HDMI and 2 USB ports for Connectivity. It works on the X-Reality Engine from Sony for processing the video. You also get a wireless Keyboard to browse in comfort!

Samsung UA22ES4003R

This 22 inches LED TV comes with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution(HD). It’s not a Full HD TV. This standard is not exactly cutting-edge anymore. There are better options available in the market – Full HD being one of them, as is apparent from the nomenclature. It comes with 50Hz motion rate. Greater motion rate means less motion blur and more clarity in fast moving videos. The sound features includes Dolby Digital Plus/Pulse with SRS TheaterSound and DTS 2. Its thickness without stand is around 49mm.

Samsung UA22ES5005R

This 22 inches LED TV comes with a FULL HD screen. The successor of HDTV, also known as 1080p offers better viewing clarity and pixel count at 1920 x 1080 pixels. One of the top-notch display technologies in the market, this standard is well suited for most users. It comes with 100Hz motion rate, double of what the previous TV has. High motion/refresh rates reduces blur when you are watching a fast moving object on the screen. The sound features includes Dolby Digital Plus/Pulse with SRS TheaterSound and DTS 2.0. Its thickness without stand is around 50mm.

LG 22LS3300

This 22 inch LED TV comes with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. It is 31.6 mm slim and comes with 1 USB port and 1 HDMI port. The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the device that links your display device with other peripherals. Disc players, Gaming consoles (PS3 and some models of Xbox 360) and AV receivers can be hooked up with monitors, televisions or digital audio systems via the HDMI port. These ports are now standard on every device, bar which most of our entertainment systems would be non-existent.

LG 26LS3700

A 26 inches LED TV with a HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Comes with 1 HDMI and 1 USB port. Has a very powerful sound output of 27W. It is 30.1 mm slim and is HD ready and comes with Simplink. SimpLink is a feature on LG TVs that detects when the power is turned on to any component connected to the TV. The TV then switches automatically to work with the device. When you plugin your device using the HDMI cable, the input display option will automatically be set to HDMI. Only one component at a time can be turned on for the feature to work properly.

Any Full HD (1080p, or 1920x1080) TV is great for gaming. If you have a PS3, a full HD TV is essential for watching Blu-rays. My favourite brands are Sony, Samsung and LG. The size is up to you, what can you see from what distance and is it too big/small for the room.
