One way is to share it with other apps/social networks like facebook, tumblr, and twitter so the people you follow are people you probably already know.

Sometimes, free and quick instagram followers will turn into ghost followers. If you don't know what they are, they are accounts that follow you, but they don't like or comment on your posts and a lot of them can get pretty annoying. But if you need some quick followers, use a ton of tags. Get the app, tagsforlikes(i have this app on my android so not sure if there is one for apple) and use some of the tags like in the ones in the follow/shoutout/like/comment or popular categories(you'll know what I'm talking about once you get this app). Use those hashtags on your posts and you'll get some followers. As of now, there is something wrong with with the hashtagging. If you hashtag, you can't see them in your posts so hopefully that gets fixed. I'm experiencing that now:/

If you want followers that will comment and like back your stuff, then it might take a little bit longer. It took me about three months until I got my first 100 followers. Post pictures that people wanna see like something funny, high quality, beautiful, etc. And use hashtags relating to the picture like if it was a picture of a flower, use hashtags relating to it like #flower #nature etc. Also, follow other accounts and like/comment some of their posts and if you do it enough times, those accounts might notice you and follow you. This might not work with big accounts like the ones with 100K+ followers unless you personally know them, but follow accounts in the 1000 or less range. If you don't wanna follow random people/s account, follow accounts that only post specific type of pictures like an account for a singer, an hipster account(there are a bunch of those and 75% will follow back) etc.

There are some shoutout accounts so you can get their attention and you'll probably get some followers. Only ask the shout out accounts with a lot of followers, but it will be kinda hard to get their attention and it might not always work and some of the followers will probably unfollow you later or do nothing.

Also careful when you see accounts that say "follow for followback?", "I follow back!!", and "Follow me and I'll follow you". This is only true if you look at their number of followers and followings.. If they have like 200 followers and almost the same number of followings, maybe more, then they will follow back, but if they have like 23642 and only 25 followings, then they're LYING!! LoL and even if they do follow you back, they might turn out to be more ghost followers-.-

Hope this helps and sorry for the length!! I think the best ways to get good followers is by posting original and good pictures and not reposting something from the internet and by following/liking/commenting back. This isn't very original, but if you wanna have fun, try editing some of your pictures with other apps then posting it because ALOT of users love edits. You could also make comics(if you don't know what they are, check accounts like officialsabrina_xo or jojoboohz and you'll know what I mean) This will take a longer time so if you just want quick followers, do the hashtag method or just follow/unfollow method, where you follow a bunch of people and wait about a two or three days later and unfollow the people who don't follow back. Use statigram to check whose following and not following you. Hope this helps and again, SORRY for the long explanation!!! I'm suppose to be doing homework and currently procrastinating lol!!

1.one way is to comment and like all the popular pictures. People that are desperate and are looking for a chance of more followers always go there.
2. Search for a account that gives shoutouts. Then go to their followers and follow as much as you can. These people actually want to be followed and will more than likely follow you back.
3. Follow celebrities. That's always the first place people new to instagram look. If they are also wanting followers, they will see you and follow you. But you must follow and unfollow them on a daily basis so more accounts will see you.

If you don't see a dramatic change, you're definitely doing something wrong.

It you are really serious about the instagram thing, do what I'm doing.

Make a shout out account for people wanting shoutouts. In your bio list that you must be following your personal account for you to give them a shoutout. You could also just give other people and your personal account shoutouts, (only if you have a lot of followers). A really convenient way to do it, if you only want to manage one account, is if you start out as a shout out page and then when you have 1 or 2 thousand followers, change your username and make it a personal account.

Warnings
If you want to seem really important and only follow about 100 people while you have 500 followers, you can unfollow people, but I don't recommend that.

i will advice you to post interesting photos and follow a lot of people and they will follow you too. if you do not have time to do it. I will recommend buying real instagram followers.
