cheapest plan for a blackberry?

my friend is giving me her blackberry, so i wont have to pay for the blackberry itself but i will have to pay for the plan. i was wondering what the cheapest plan would be for a bb if i wanted bbm, texting and a little calling, but no facebook, twitter or email? and which phone company should i go with virgin mobile, rogers telus? thanks for reading!!

Because the BB is a smartphone you will need to buy an expensive data plan which may cost $30/month on some plans. AT&T has a lower cost plan. Verizon is supposed to be testing a new cheap plan that's much more limited than the existing cheapest plan - $20/month for 300mb, vs. only $10 more for 2gb
