I don't like Michael Weatherly from NCIS, am I the only one?

I get he has heaps of fans, but every interview I watch he seems like a giant douchebag. Anyone else agree?

I want to watch NCIS (I love Criminal Minds, and people have said NCIS is just as good) but I find the actor off putting, so I know I won't be able to get into the character.

Opinions on him? Reasons i'm wrong about him?

Agree he seems like a snob that's why I never really clicked with the show that and he was married ot another star I like a lot and divorce her

Please distinguish Michael Weatherly from the character he plays. For the past 10 years he played Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, a fictional character on the television series NCIS. I have seen him as a Priest (Charmed), as a 'Controller' of a Secret Agent (Dark Angel) and several other roles.

In the past 10 years the character of Anthony DiNozzo has evolved. By starting the character out flawed, it gave him room to expand, based most notably on the reactions of his co-workers.
'Gibbs' has actually described him as "the best agent I've ever worked with", and you know how frugal he is with compliments.

I have seen Mr. Weatherly on many interviews, and iI do not refer to the 'Entertainment Tonight' things where he can be silly, but to actual Interviews conducted in a Newsroom or other formal setting and I find him to be intelligent, articulate and thoughful. I suggest watching some of those Interviews.

I like his character on the show. He is not my favorite, that would be Abby, but I can deal with him.

Michael Weatherly has stated that he gets nervous when he does interviews, and I think sometimes he acts up the DiNozzo 'persona' to try and cover this up. I think he's often ill at ease getting interviewed, and maybe that translates into him coming across as, well, a bit of an idiot. He's also quite eccentric.

Of course I do not believe he's an idiot, and personally I think he comes across really well in print interviews and on twitter

I have watched a few interviews with him and Cote de Pablo. He was very sweet to her. He is goofy by nature (it appears) and some of that comes through in his interviews. His character has grown and matured over the past 10 years on the show.

NCIS is an awesome show. I watch it every chance I get. Give it a try and see how it goes. USA runs reruns Wednesday through Friday from about 5 til 10pm (sometimes more, sometimes less). USA also does marathons about every other weekend. The first few seasons MW's character was a total goofball
