Twitter can definitely be a good marketing tool if you go about it the right way. One thing I would suggest is using some sort of dashboard application like hootsuite. That way you can schedule tweets ahead of time, and track multiple streams at once. There is also an option to track specific keywords so you can interact with users who are tweeting about topics relevant to your business.
