Is it rare for young adults to avoid social media?
I recently read some articles stating that employers, psychologists, and psychiatrists believe young adults, specifically towards ages 20 - 33, who avoid social media or don't have social networking accounts such as Facebook and/or Twitter, are considered as "suspicious" or "psychopaths." These theories are based on the recent tragedies of mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado during "The Dark Knight Rises" midnight show and the 2011 massacre in Norway. Both shooters had very little to no digital footprints. What do you think?

i'm pretty sure a lot of people don't have facebook

i didn't til last year i'm 19. i used to just add my friends through email but then i guess my friends started using facebook too so it was easier for me to just use that. however i don't use it often, only have a few people on my friend list not 200+ like most ppl

it doesn't mean that i'll go on a killing spree though, just because i didn't use it a lot or i don't have 300+ friends.

My daughter has FB and there is a lot of squabbling, gossiping, and more goes on with some FB users. I know not all, My point is here that some of us just want to keep a loe profile, not wanting the whole world to know our business. It does not mean there is something wrong with us, it just means that we want to share ourselves with a few instead of the whole world.

Some like to show their underwear, and some of us don't. We just want to enjoy the company of a few good friends we meet.

The Breivik guy did actually have quite a presence on social medias. He participated in several internet debates under his full name and even had a facebook account. So there goes that theory in the drain.

Now about James Holmes: He's a lunatic... let's leave it at that...
