I need help staying focused and awake as a 2nd year?
I am in my second year of college and I still get distracted! I deleted my facebook and twitter accounts yet i still find a distraction. usually it will be from reading the news, browsing, or playing tetris or supermario. I refuse to drink coffee but i need another alternative. I plan on applying to law school and being a judge and this needs to stop. Please help!

I suggest yoga or martial arts training. Through meditation you can learn to gently guide your thoughts instead of struggling and suppressing and racing from one distraction to another. You can control your mind... it just takes practice. When you first start meditating, you feel even more aware of the racing thoughts, which can be uncomfortable. But persistence pays off and these skills can help you the rest of your life. Best wishes to you...
