Why did my ex-boyfriend follow me on twitter?

I'm a senior in high school and me and this boy dated for a year and a half in fifth and sixth grade. It sounds dumb but it really wasn't. We broke up because we were growing apart at different middle schools and he liked another girl. We have both been going to the same high school. We completely ignore each other he acts like I don't exist. But sometimes I feel like he still has feelings for me because he seems to ignore me in purpose and you can just tell. Then on Monday night he followed me on twitter and I was like what? So then I requested to follow him and he accepted as soon as he accepted he retweeted a relationship twitter account saying "my ex? Were not friends, were not enemies. Were just strangers with some memories" weird and totally directed towards me right? Then today he retweeted my tweet "I can't wait for college (;" like whaaaaat

Sounds mean to me. If he is not with you anymore, why is he using Twitter to spy on you and retweeting your tweets. He is directly posting tweets about you and that is not good.
