What does it mean when your guy friend stops talking to you?

Okay I had one of my guy friends ive had a crush on since my sophmore year in high school. We use to talk and laugh all the time. everything was fine. Now, like since ive moved he stopped talking to me but started talking to me again. One day he acually asked me out on a date but we never went because of another one of his friends was liking me during that time. But I didn't llike him. which was why he was being mean to me and stuff. His friends thought we were dating when he asked me on the date. So now, that we're in college and its been close to 4 years since ive talked/ seen him. And I have him as a friend on facebook and I tried maybe like writing on his wall. All I said was I miss youuu! and that was it. Then he deletes my wall post off of fb. idk why but im pretty sure before he thought about doing that he saw it the whole time. So like now im trying to talk to him again and you know kind of reunite with him because I really miss him. He just ignores me. and like every time i ask his friends about him they tells him and always tell his best friend that I hit him up or something like that. i really care about him But i just don't understand. So what does it mean when he stops talking to me and ignores me after soo long. Oh yeahh, not to mention hes starting to talk to his ex girlfriend again. My friend told me they talk on twitter sometimes. And she told him she miss him and he just said hiii im backkk. idk thats weirdd. But what should I do, ignore him back, try and talk to him again and see if he say something to me or what. Idk what to do really. Because okay how come he talks to his ex but not be and there not even together anymore. I still have feelings for him but I don't let it show because I don't want him to know that i still care about him. Butanyways, sometimes I ask his friends about him then they'll go tell him and he'll tell his friends that I hit him up. which is weirdd as well. i just want to be friends like we we're when we we're in high school because he's a really good guy and I don't want to go on forever and not talk to him and I don't want him to ignore me like hes doing now.

Have you tried messaging him rather that wall posting? Maybe you need to ask him via message whats wrong? alturnatively I would right on his wall - "Hi How are you? What have you been up too? I miss hanging out" or something along those lines. If he ignores you then I would move on as he clearly doesn't want to talk to you i'm afraid.

i know that is hard 4 u right away.but let him go of your mind. he does not seem to be such a perfect friend that u claim he is .just let go some time and then maybe some day he will return to u apologizing 4 not believing in u and letting u down.even if not,you have done your own part on trying to be friends again .what could u do more? he seems happy by not answering u and making u upset .he surely is not a reliable one.u have done your best so far.just let him make up his mind and if he did so , and kept not talking to u anymore ,then just accept it and respect his decision on picking his own friends.i am sure he is the one to lose a good friend like u and he would regret it someday.
