someone using my pictures?
hi there. i have a lot of followers on twitter and i post some sexy/glam pictures of me for my followers (pls dont judge)
ive found out that somebody has been distributing my pics through a v.busy chat room and has been receiving paypal "gifts" in return. i have no idea who they are, i guess they are saying that they are the girl in the pictures (me).
is this legal? is there anything i can do, like i said i dont know who they are? im in the uk.
i did think about this but what are the police able to do?? i get the feeling this happens a lot on the internet

Contact the police, but if they are pictures of you half naked, you could get your twitter, and or other sites pulled down. (Nudity) But they are faking as you and its completely illegal!

You retain the copyright on the photos so no what they are doing isn't legal. It wouldn't be legal even if they were just giving the pictures away.

You can contact the operator of the chat room and inform them that one of their users is violating your copyright.
Since it's a chat room they aren't technically hosting anything and so about all you can do is provide examples of a user breaking the law and ask them to ban the user.

If the person is posting the images to any websites in the USA then you can send that website a DMCA take down notice and have them remove the images.

Beyond that all you can do is contact a lawyer and try to identify and sue the person involved, something which would probably end up costing you a lot of money.
And maybe stop posting the images on twitter, if you want to distribute them but retain more control then use a less public method of posting them.
