What does "K" mean in terms of image size?
You know how when you try to set a background for your twitter or youtube page and it says something like, "Images must be smaller than 800k." What is "k"? How do I find out how big the image is in "k"s?

Kilobytes. If you right-click on an image file and select "Properties", it will tell you the size.

the k stands for kilo. Most of the time you will see kb which is kilobytes on a computer. The link below has more details. To find the size you can look at the file properties or when using file explorer look at the files with details. quick guide
1000kb = 1mb 1000mb = 1gb 1000gb = 1tb |

"k" in this case refers to the number of bytes that an image takes up, or its file size. 1k = 1024 bytes, so doing the math, 800k would be equivalent to 819,200 bytes. Thus, you cannot upload an image bigger than that.
You can usually find out how big an image is if you right-click it and examine its properties. On the properties screen, it will say how big it is (either in bytes, kilobytes, or megabytes.) |
