Why am I not permitted to post comments to certain articles?
I am allowed to only post comments to some articles while others will refuse me access while being signed in to yahoo. I am not on facebook or twitter, so my only sign in option is YAHOO and i continue to be allowed to sign in but NOT ALLOWED TO POST USING MY NAME FROM MY YAHOO MAIL. I find this selection interesting and highly discriminatory in that it would seem that I can only post comments that yahoo seems to approve of or only for certain types of articles. It seems to disallow the ones that appear to be controversial. I don't agree with everything and I have never violated any of the rules. In fact, this isn't even a rule since it allows me to sign in as a yahoo user but it only allows me to post on certain articles. So, the rule it says I'm violating by using my url is NON-EXISTENT! How about fixing this one, please? At least, if one is not to post comments as a yahoo user, then REMOVE THAT OPTION AND I'LL STOP READING YOUR NEWS.

if you are young, it might have an age limit so if you really want to comment, it probably won't let you change your age, but try that first. if it doesn't allow you to change it, if you insist on commenting you can make a second account. The age restriction could either be 18 or 21. If you do this put 21 just in case. If you are already past this age than I have no idea, but a lot of websites have age restrictions. Sorry if this does not answer your question or in irrelevant to the situation.

Not being able to comment on news articles is a known issue, and happening to many people.
Yahoo's engineering teams are working to correct the issue.

Staff recommends clearing cache and cookies, or using a different browser.

This Yahoo Help link provides some Basic Troubleshooting steps:
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...y=PROD_FIN

Use latest version of supported browser
Clear browser's cache and cookies
Reset your browser
Try a different browser

Link also provides instructions for those tasks.

It isn't because they disagree with your comments, it's a glitch.

Please, let me know if this helps. :-)

EDIT: The 2nd link says Finance, but it's the same for News.

I have since found out that I am only permitted to put non-controversial comments on articles. I find this quite interesting and when I sought help, they wanted me to pay for it. Now I understand the issue of payment, but I didn't know that Yahoo was charging for Help nor did I realize that my comments were subject to another person's approval on here. I'm not even the one who posted such a racy photo or even appeared in that costume. All I did was try to comment on it. So, I had to decline as I could NOT afford to pay for help and no, this is NOT an age issue, but thank you anyway.
