Since the payroll tax cut affects Social Security funding, do the spending offsets also go to Social Security?

If the spending offsets go to the general fund instead of the Social Security fund, isn't Congress essentially raiding the Social Security fund again?

No. The Democrats want it funded by a 3% tax raise on income over $1 million, the Republican want to fund it by cutting the federal work force and freezing federal pay.

Pass the jobs bill and let's really start creating jobs internally. We have to dig out and stop playing games. No body wants this.....Even the markets agree we have to.

So get the Tea Party out, Pass the jobs bill already and let's get lawmakers who CAN START PLANING THE NEXT STAGE.

There is no quick answer, no one wants to keep going this way and the Tea Party has stated they will keep government shut down until the election.

No Body wins if we let the Tea Party shut down progress for hate. Their only goal is to get Obama out and deregulate Wall Street because there is never ever any greedy crime.

Get the Tea Party out so we can go another direction. They are forcing this direction and holding the people hostage.

My new tee shirts say tea Party hostage and my dog is in a noose.

Yes, unless to replenish it Congress and Obama start confiscating even more of our earnings. But cutting the number of federal employees and freezing their pay is a damn good idea. The private sector has been forced to do that for the last several years.
The TEA Party groups in the various states are motivated to send more people to Washington next year. Don't expect them to fade away.
