They're both good for different reasons. Facebook is easier to connect with friends and share pictures, videos, etc. Twitter is just tweeting "statuses" about your day and talk about your life basically.

Facebook because it better social networking, you can actually have a profile with pictures ect and its easier to understand we're as twitter is basically uploading statuses constantly about yourself and no communication.
