Weibo has a trend of popularity with celebrities who want to be known not only in Taiwan but in China, but because twitter arrived in Taiwan before weibo it still has a larger usage. That doesn't mean there are not people in Taiwan who use weibo, I am sure there are a lot of companies, college students and individuals who use weibo. However, I think with the vast majority of people using Facebook and twitter and Google+ that there are fewer Taiwanese using weibo these days by compassion.
