How to start a band, any advice on how to do it?

I've been playing guitar for two years and I have a pretty decent voice and want to start a rock band. I live in a tiny village in a tiny Irish village and nobody around here plays anything or is even remotely interested in rock music. Do I need to move to a bigger city? I have no idea how to actually find some people to start a band with. Any help is appreciated. Oh, I'm not on Facebook or Twitter or anything so i can't really ask on social media sites. Could I post as ad in some music magazines? Seriously I have no idea.

Try Youtube....i know you said no social netwoking sites but youtube is worth it. just search find people in Ireland that play instruments that you r looking for and then contact them through youtube. That hapened with a really great group here in Australia. at firt they practiced over skype until the could meet up and they because really good. hope this helps
