What is wrong with my ipod touch?

i have a 3rd gen ipod touch that ive had for about 2 years, and up until a few days ago nothing like this happened... this is whats wrong. Whenever i get on certain apps like twitter, ifunny, facebook, it gets on for a minute, but then just randomly goes back to home. Whats wrong with it? how can i fix it?

The apps may have updated to a new version thus making it strain your iPod. Try restarting it and reopening them again. If you don't have the latest software up to date for your iPod that could be an issue too. My iPod is 2nd Gen and does it all the time for some apps and I can never open them just because my iPod is too old. Restarting it should really help though.

This happens to me all the time I have a 4th gen and when i try certain apps they wont open but i searched google and asked.... just buy a free app if that app opens then the other apps should open ( hope this helps)
