When compared the WW2 generation, would this newest generation be considered a bunch of whiners?

I am 16 and I see the masses of indolent whiners in high school. Complaining about nothing.

The WW2 generation had to endure an immense amount of pressure. Not getting enough nutrition in the Great Depression and then having to fight in WW2.

If my generation where thrust into a world war, we could cry about it on Facebook and Twitter.

Frankly, I'm embarrassed to be associated to a generation of lazy slobs.

Yes, teenagers of this generation do complain quite a bit over extremely trivial matters that they forget ever happened, come the next day. You're even doing it right now. Complaining about how absolutely terrible this generation is, while mentioning that there are people who actually had something to complain about. I find that a little ironic. Besides, people complain about how bad every generation is; then come the next one, that generation wasn't so god-awful.

I guess so. I am embarrassed of my generation as well. I think children and teens should be grateful for what they have, help their parents and family, and take working and school seriously. But it seems like the opposite happens now. Kids think they are kings and queens and deserve whatever they want, only do chores or help out when they want something, and slack off at work and school then have their parents get them out of it. It is retarded.

I think anyone born after the 80s hasn't the slightest clue of what the fck people went through during war and post-war times.
Least of all the kids of this generation.
Though I might like to add that aside from a few cities that were bombed during the war, most of it was fought away from urban areas so though the people belonged to the war era, they weren't really affected by it(unless their families were part of the army) and used to lead normal lives during the time. Of course there were issues with finance and even with production of goods since most of the resources were concentrated on building military strength.

People in Palestine are still going through hell.
And of course those poor souls in Iraq who are being treated like crap because a few people in the country belong to terrorist groups. Sucks like hell.
And of course countries with a dictatorial regime.
Even though we are going through fairly peaceful times, I think another war is inevitable.

I'm embarrassed to belong to this generation too.
