Dealing with Homesickness?
I think everyone's been through homesickness, right? I come from Manila but I am now Singapore-based. I've been away from Manila for 7 years now. When we go on vacations there it's usually just a couple of days or over the weekend, and every two years or so. (Not enough money, parents' employers won't let them leave so long, etc.) However, we just came back from a two-week vacation there. I met relatives and caught up with my ex-schoolmates. It was all so fun and it made me think of everything I missed and how gat it would've been to have continued studying there with them. I grew extremely fond of my uncle because, well, who wouldn't love him. He's funny, has a cool job(s), bought us stuff and had awesome games for his PS3. I guess he's one of the main reasons why I get homesick. And also the fact that I grew up in the house he stays in, and will always be staying in. Every time I look at the pictures we took they make my chest ache and my eyes blurry. Soon enough, like the female I am, I start crying. (And I hate crying, especially in front of people.) Facebook, twitter and Instagram isn't enough anymore after this two-week vacation. I was hoping to get some tips from you guys that have helped you cope with this. Thanks.

Homesickness is a horrible feeling Sad Although you don't like crying that may be a good temporary solution, have an afternoon where you will be alone and undisturbed and sit down with the photos and cry, cry hard until you can't anymore. After that your head should be a little more clear and you can start to rationally work through it. Another way to deal with it is to occupy yourself with other things, go out with friends from the place you are currently in, take up a hobby or just get into a good game. The more you dwell on it the more your going to feel this way. Goodluck <3
