How to ask this girl to hang out?

Ok, I've been talking to this girl for about 3 months. We went to school together but we never met. I was a grade higher. We only talk through phone or twitter, but we hit it off right away. We're comfortable with each other. But our conversations are pretty much the same thing over and over now and I want to hang out with her. A mutual friend of ours is always asking me what i'm waiting for. We're both on break right now, so I thought it would be a perfect time to ask her. How could I ask her to hang out without being weird, since we've never met. And I don't want to seem like those other guys that are players because that's what she was afraid of when she started talking to me because a lot of guys try to use her. I don't want to come off as one of those guys because i'm not.

Don't do it one on one initially. Then you avoid all awkward/creepiness. Invite a smaller group of people to go out for coffee or something. Obviously, make it a co-ed group with people you both know. Then, if it goes well in a group, you can ask to hang out one on one.
