What is it that you like so much about going on Facebook or Twitter? Many people find it addicting or feel the urge to share something with the world. What is it that you love so much about social networking sites?

I like hearing from my friends and family that live far away. It feels more personal than e-mail because they are more likely to reply more quickly.

FB is for keeping up with friends and family, especially those who live far away. I also use one of my freelance client's page to talk to other writers, solve issues, discuss work changes, etc.

As for Twitter, I tweet for my own use, plus I make money on the side. I also promote my work (I'm a freelance writer). The thing is you have readers even if they don't follow. I only have 50-something followers, but other people also see me.
