What does a tractor do on Farmville on Facebook?

Im now at the level that i can buy a tractor on Farmville on Facebook but i dont know what the point of it is.
What does it do?

It can plow fields, but 4X faster. It costs the same amount in coins (15 per plot) and you get the same number of XP (1 per plot). But you also need gas to use it, which I think replenishes itself after a couple of days, because I've never seemed to run out. You can buy gas, but only for Farmville cash (which you have to purchase). You also get a decent amount of XP just for buying the tractor.

It allows you to plow four squares at once. You also don't have to wait for your person walk to the squares in order to do it, like you do when you plow normally. You earn the same number of experience points (one per square) and it costs the same (15 coins per square). The only difference is you earn four experience points at a time and it deducts sixty coins at a time.

One major drawback is that the tractor uses gas. When you buy the tractor, it comes with plenty of fuel. I believe it takes one fuel to plow each square, but I'm not entirely sure. When you run out, you can either buy more gas from the market, but that costs Farmville dollars, which you have to buy with real world money. The other option is to just wait. Every two and a half minutes the game will give you a small amount of more fuel.

It helps you plow faster... 2 to 4 square plots at a time.

it can plow 4 lots of land at once. the fuel runs out, but you can refuel it by buying it the the dollor bills, and it renews over time. It makes it quicker and easier to plow land. Un fortunatle, u cant plant seeds with it though. Oh well

It allows you to plow 2x2 squares. You have limited amounts of fuel though! You have to buy more fuel with real money, or let it recharge over time. There is an app out by someone else that plows your farmvillecrops for you. FarmHand. It's in beta stage but I use it, works good for an 18x18 farm that I harvest at least once a day
