Post an ad in craigslist lost section area and the pets area as well. If you have photos you could also go old school and post flyers/fliers?... set food outside and hope he comes back.

Keep checking in. Walk around and ask your neighbors. Put up posters if you have a picture of him. Also check in with a cat resque if there is one near you. Get the word out fast. Give a reward to make it worth while for a teenager to find the cat.

Dear Mak:

Get all your friends together and go on a search for Kitty! Call his name out loud! Scream it if you have to. Put a picture of him on Facebook or Twitter. Put up flyers with his picture and specific information on it all over the neighborhood. If you can offer a reward, more people will be on the lookout. I am sure the weather is very cold outside right now and sometimes people will take in a cat because they feel bad for him. The important thing right now is to get the word out about your kitty. You can even call a local news or radio channel and they might be able to put a little piece on about kitty on their shows. This will reach a larger audience. If it were my kitty I would do everything that I just mentioned.

I will say a prayer that your beloved family member is returned safely to you and your family.

Please let everyone on Yahoo Answers know if you found your orange tabby. I am sure I am not the only one who is interested in finding out what happened to him!

Good Luck!

Does he possibly have a microchip? Check with local rescue shelters to see if they scanned him. If not, try and go door to door around your neighborhood with a picture of him and ask around. Like the others said too, check with any local shelters as well. If he was an indoor only cat, chances are he is afraid of the outdoors and would not go very far from home. Look all around your home, in plants, trees, garage, backyard shed, wherever small hiding places could be. I realize it is probably covered in snow where you live so also look for places he could possible dig a small hole to hide in.
