Poll: Isn't capitalism just the most disgusting invention ever?
- causes wars
- social inequality
- dumps its oil barrels to add to the fire
- ruins the free market
Eating a rusty lead pipe covered in sewer sludge is more appealing than "crapitalism"

Making money at the expense of other people is, and capitalism can allow for that when not properly regulated. But all economies are mixed, and if you implement the best aspects of capitalism (opportunity, choice, mobility) with the best aspects of socialism (fairness, equality, charity) you can develop the best possible system.

Its better than some. It is not the best system we can make though. I think a certain mix of socialism and democracy is the way to utopia. Whatever system that is employed it is only as good as they leaders leading it. Communism could have been great. Monarchies could be great. It is all dependent on the leaders and whether or not they are good.

Capitalism IS the free market. And it'll have to do until we can all convert to enlightened socialism a-la Scandinavia.
