What motivates you to spend time on the Internet?
What motivates you to use twitter, facebook, yahoo answers, other online forums, food calculators, any web software?
Alex: We have similar motives. On Y!answers I am looking for different perspectives.

Twitter and Facebook are a good way to communicate with people when they aren't around. Yahoo answers my important questions that my friends can't answer, and gives me different perspectives on different topics.
What motivates you to ask this question??
