Don't have it if you do not like to have a digital footprint

You can use a twitter account however you'd like to. I personally love it because it's micro-blogging and I can stay abreast with the news anytime from all over the world. I follow my favorite shows, and I retweet interesting facts. So if that floats your boat, then go for it.
