How Can I Generate Traffic To My Blog Site?

I get like 30 hits a day which is pathetic. I dont have a lot of money to throw into promoting it and I promote it heavy on facebook and twitter yet its still not generating any traffic. Any suggestions/Ideas?

If you are promoting it heavily and still getting no traffic than their can be two problems.
First may be if you are checking stats from Google analytics, you should use the logs of your hosting to have the idea of traffic. Google Analytics shows very less stats than actual visits,
Secondly, may be you are promoting your site in the wrong audience, try the audience which are relevant to your site
