Why are Kids not allowed on a lot of websites?
I don't think they should not be allowed on websites like facebook, twitter, habbo etc. Some kids are responsible enough to understand their is bad people out there that would add them and want to find them. Habbo is alright its only that people swear and talk about sexual references and that. But there is a filter that declines swears in chat and that. Some children find children sites boring, like club penguin and moshi monsters. So answer please, thanks.

Because they are children, and it is the moral obligation and ethical responsibility of ADULTS to protect children.

Because a lot of websites are rated R-X. Its our duty to protect them from internet pedos. The stats for kids meeting old freaky guys online is actually ridiculously high.

If people under 18 were not on Facebook, it would cut its users in half probably. That being said, if the parent consents to it, oversees activity, and places the profile on private, I don't see a problem with it. I really don't think there is anything immoral about it.

I too thought you were talking about porn sites, which is a major concern because ANYONE can just click on any X rates site and see everything. Oh wait, sometimes they make you click something that says "Yes I'm over 18". I'm sure that stops a lot of kids from entering inappropriate websites.

The internet is definitely a scary place and we have yet to see all its potential.

As long as you are at least 13 I think you can go to most sites. If not, get your parents to get you in. Hey, you're not barred from all sites. You're here aren't you? Don't sweat it and just be careful where you go.

BTW why can't you use Facebook? My cousin has used it since she was like 12. Just try, the worst they can do is turn you down.
