Can an IP address be traced from Twitter to a city?

I was really good friends with this person on Twitter, but all of a sudden she stopped tweeting. She also stopped blogging on her Tumblr account. I don't want to assume the worst, but I miss her a lot and just want some closure.

It's a big hope, but what I want is to be able to track her IP address from a tweet down to a city. Then I'll search for any news about deaths in that city during the month she stopped logging online. Maybe she made it to the news.

I know it seems like I'm assuming things, but her last ever tweets were about suicide committed by a girl who was also on Twitter. I just want to make sure she's okay. Thanks for any helpful answers in advance.

Well ofcourse put the IP in on this site and it should take it down to a city.

twitter have privacy state, so contact Twitter administrator to get her ip addres
then googling "who is ip", one of it is cqcounter.com, enter her ip addres ... you got it

If you know IP address then is easy to track it down with IP locators:

Bit i'm not sure how you will come behind IP address on Twitter.
