Well "Twitter" is the newest social network craze. You update it with what your doing, so your "followers" can keep tabs on you. It's pretty basic and all you do is update your status and look at others'.

Every time you update your status you are "tweeting."

It seems quite pointless, but it can be a bit of fun to check out what everyone else is doing.

It does seem pointless initially, and my first foray was a failure, but if you want to generate a following and therefore traffic for a blog or website then it's definitely worth pursuing. It takes time to learn how best to make use of it, but in time you fine the ways which are suitable for you and it can be fun along the way too.
